Frequently Asked Questions

 

Where can I collect my race number from?

Race kit collection is available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning from the Running and Fitness Expo located at SouthBank Piazza. Please ensure you bring your confirmation email with you to ensure you receive the correct race number. Details on times available here

 

I would like to collect my friends race number, how can I do this?

We are strictly enforcing rules for collection of race numbers other than your own. The only way you are able to collect another participants race number is if you supply the confirmation receipt emailed from Streamlined Events when you registered online. Alternatively, if you have written consent to collecting others' race numbers this will also be allowed.

 

I have personal items and I dont know where to put them on the day? Is there storage?

Yes, the Brisbane Running Festival will have a fully managed baggage compound available on the day which will be open from 5.30am where volunteers will store your baggage. We recommend you do not leave valuable belongings at the tent. Although we take every possible precaution to ensure your belongings are safe, intraining Race Organisation and volunteers takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

 

I have collected my race number and there is no timing chip? What do I do?

If you have your race number, you have your timing chip. Brisbane Running Festival will be using the Windag timing system to electronically time all applicable events. If you turn your race number around, the blue string attached to the rear of the number is a timing antenna. Please do not bend or reshape your race number in any way. If you do, your race time may not be recorded.

 

When should I pick up my race number?

It is suggested that you collect your race number on Friday 21 August or Saturday 22 August. Sunday is also a race kit collection date, however to avoid the rush and possible stress associated with this please collect on Friday or Saturday.

 

Is the course available yet?

Yes, the course is available online. Further course updates will be posted on the website as they are available.

 

My name is not on the confirmed entrants list?

Please ensure you have registered in the event prior to the date on the confirmed entrants list. If you have and your name is still not appearing, please contact us.

 

REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS

Brisbane Running Festival 2009 has strict guidelines for refunds and transfer of entry fees. Under no circumstances will a refund be given to any participant, due to the costs associated. We can however, offer those that are unable to participate under medical circumstances a transfer into another event which intraining Race Organisation Organises - namely, Twilight Running Festival and Brisbane Running Festival.

(NO TRANSFERS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER 12PM TUESDAY 18 August)

 

I would like to do a different race to the one I am registered in (Event Change)

We can transfer your entry to another event at the Brisbane Running Festival 2009 if you are unable to participate in your selected event. Please note that NO fees will be refunded or transferred back to the participant and the event change will simply be reallocated.

(NO FURTHER EVENT CHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 12PM THURSDAY 20 AUGUST - see the trouble table when you collect your race pack)

Online registration difficulties

If you are experiencing any difficulties registering for your event, please contact us. However, here are a few tips to ensure you have a stress free and easy experience registering using Streamlined Events and Marketing online registration facility.

 

# My email address is not accepted? This means that you have used the Streamlined Events system in the past and your details are already on file. If you can not remember your password please request this to be sent via email on the registration website.

# I entered my personal details and made a mistake. Simply log in to your account using your email address and password and you will be able to edit these details. It is always worthwhile to check to see that your details are correct prior to the race.

# I did not receive a Registration Receipt via email? This means that your email address has been entered incorrectly. To access your receipt, please log into your account and save a copy to your computer.

# I would like to enter my family but dont know how? The registration facility allows entrants to enter their family or corporate team under one "parent". This means that you only need to enter the address, suburb, contact number etc...for one person and only the relevant participant details for each other runner. When you receive your registration receipt, please ensure that each runner's details are correct. If you still have issues, please contact us on 07 3367 3088.
