Woo-hoo, did my first half at Twilight in just under two hours! Would probably have been faster without the bridal outfit, but I gained a lot of confidence toward my marathon goal for August.

Any other members happy/sad/indifferent with their results?

Best,
Annette

My goal in starting running was simply to lose weight and get fit. With 8 kg gone, I feel a winner no matter what my half marathon time was.  I was happy to finish although I would have prefered a time closer to two hours.

What's the next race? Smile

Just wondering...did you find some online results or are you guys talking about the time at the finish line?

I'm really hanging out for the actual results! Want to know a net time/placing!

P.S. Annette - awesome work running a half in that time in an outfit!!!

Just the time on my watch.

I am presuming that the results will be posted here eventually.

Just the time at the finish line--I sprinted to make it in just under 2 h on the clock, but I would have been another minute or so faster than that. I didn't remember to stop my watch immediately, I had an almost equally tired 9-year-old to deal with %^}.

Glad you liked the outfit. It definitely slowed me down, but it's a nice way to meet people. I've gained some confidence toward the marathon now, and I expect I'll dress 'serious' for that. BUT, I have a belly-dancing belt lined up for B2B, and I'm going to recruit as many people as I can from my department for that one--see if we can make runners out of some of them 8).

Best,
Annette

Geez - that won't half be loud Annette..!! The jingling would drive you mad for 10 kilometres, wouldn't it..??  Smile

Just as an aside, does anyone know when the online results are due to be posted..?

Cheers
Scott

I know how you feel.. I used my stopwatch - and think I did the 10k in around the 51:30 mark (I'm pretty happy with that!) - but I'd really like to know "for certain"..

Hey guys? Thanks for such a pleasure!  Great! stunning event!
Participating first time and got a lot of emotions.
Just 10, but hope to do half next time.
Could you at least imply when it's going to be possible to know results?Cry
I saw 53 when finished, but started slightly later.

Hi Scott,

Yes, definitely loud and annoying. Maybe it will drive people to run faster, to get away from me. Wink

Best,
